TerraSun
Project Overview
TerraSun is a high-altitude generation and microgrid project serving four communities previously supplied by diesel. The site sits above 3,600 metres, where thin air, extreme diurnal range and UV exposure all shorten equipment life.
What we provide:
- High-altitude equipment specification
- Microgrid architecture and control design
- Storage sizing for islanded operation
- Local technician training programme
- Spares and maintenance planning
- Community ownership structuring

Our Approach
Our platform and services are designed to make eco-conscious transformation simple, scalable, and transparent.
Standard equipment ratings do not hold at altitude: inverters derate, air cooling is less effective and UV degrades polymers faster. Everything was specified against altitude-corrected figures, and the control system was designed to run islanded indefinitely rather than to reconnect to a grid that does not reach the valley.

Technology Used
TerraSun replaced diesel generation for four communities and is maintained by technicians who live in them, which was the condition the authority set at the outset.
- 6.8 MW generation with 22 MWh storage, fully islanded
- Diesel consumption reduced by 94%
- Eleven local technicians trained and certified
- Equipment specified against altitude-corrected ratings
