SolarPath
Project Overview
SolarPath electrifies a regional bus depot: canopy generation over the parking apron, storage sized to the overnight charging profile, and a connection strategy that avoided a reinforcement the operator could not have funded.
What we provide:
- Depot charging load modelling
- Canopy generation design
- Storage sizing and dispatch strategy
- Grid connection negotiation
- Smart charging integration
- Driver and depot staff training

Our Approach
Our platform and services are designed to make eco-conscious transformation simple, scalable, and transparent.
The fleet's entire charging demand falls into a six-hour overnight window, which made an unmanaged connection prohibitively expensive. Storage plus scheduled charging flattened the depot's peak enough to stay within the existing connection capacity, and the canopy covers a substantial share of the daytime standing load.

Technology Used
SolarPath allowed the operator to electrify the depot without a network reinforcement, which was the difference between the project happening and not happening.
- 4.2 MW canopy generation with 12 MWh storage
- Existing grid connection retained — no reinforcement
- Peak depot demand reduced by 61%
- 84 buses charging within the overnight window
