UI/UX Designer

About The Role

Environmental data is difficult to present honestly. As UI/UX Designer you will shape how our clients see their own impact — the reporting portal, the public site, and the internal tools our consultants use every day.

Key Responsibilities

You will own the design system and the research behind it, working closely with the front-end developer and the data team.

• Design the client reporting portal, from research through to specification.
• Own and evolve the design system across products.
• Run usability sessions with clients and act on what they show you.
• Design data visualisations that make uncertainty visible rather than hiding it.
• Work to WCAG 2.2 AA, including colour, contrast and focus order.
• Produce the documentation a developer can build from without guessing.

What We're Looking For

A designer with a portfolio of things that shipped and were then improved. Data-heavy interface experience is a strong advantage, and so is being able to argue a case with evidence rather than taste.

You should have

• Three or more years designing digital products.
• Experience with complex, data-dense interfaces.
• A working knowledge of accessibility beyond a contrast checker.
• Comfort designing in the browser's constraints, not against them.
