Corporate Controller

About The Role

The Corporate Controller owns our financial close, our controls and our statutory reporting. As we take on larger infrastructure contracts, the role increasingly also owns the question of whether our processes can survive the scrutiny those contracts bring.

Key Responsibilities

You will run the accounting function day to day and lead the work to make it fit a company several times our current size.

• Own the month-end and year-end close, and shorten both.
• Prepare statutory accounts and manage the external audit.
• Design and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
• Oversee revenue recognition on multi-year project contracts.
• Manage the finance team and its development.
• Partner with legal on contract terms with accounting consequences.

What We're Looking For

A qualified accountant who has built process rather than only operated it, and who is comfortable in a company where the answer to a question is sometimes that nobody has decided yet.

You should have

• A recognised accounting qualification and post-qualification experience.
• Experience closing books in a project-based or construction business.
• A track record of leading an audit to a clean opinion.
• Line management experience.
